Sharks lose by 2 to Florence Darlington

Miami Dade late effort to come back came up just short as they lost 7-5 to Florence Darlington on Saturday.

Florence Darlington opened the scoring in the second inning as Gibson would hit a solo shot to right field off of Horacio Cruz. Michael Petite would answer back with an RBI single to tie the game at 1 apiece in the bottom of the third.

The Stingers would take the lead in the top of the 5th thanks to a homer by Kamerer.

Horacio Cruz would take the loss for Miami Dade as he went five innings, surrendering three runs on four hits. He would strike out three and walk two in the outing.

The Miami Dade offense was led by Carlos Jacome, Santiago Carriles and Maikol Perez who each would have two hits in this one.

The Sharks will look to get back on track as they take on St. Johns River State College in the second game of a doubleheader shortly.
