The Miami Dade Sharks baseball team came out firing on all cylinders as they took down the Elite Squad Academy 13-2. The Sharks move to 4-4 on the season.

Miami Dade got on the board early in this one thanks to an RBI triple by Michael Petite. D'Angelo Ortiz was able to bring him home thanks a sac fly to bring the second run of the inning.

In the bottom of the third, Maikol Perez was able to hit a triple of his own which extended their early lead.

Elite Squad's Ray hit a solo shot in the top of the fifth inning to get the Academy on top.

Miami Dade would answer back in the bottom of the sixth thanks to 2 hits which led to six runs. Geremy Garcia drove in two this inning thanks to a single and a couple of errors by the Academy aided the Sharks in this inning.

Brandon Vazquez earned the win for Miami Dade in this one, striking out two while allowing one hit. Perez earned the loss for the Elite Squad going three innings, giving up six runs while walking three.

The Sharks will look to stay in the win column when they take on East Georgia College. The game is slated for Friday February 9 at 6:00 PM.
