Miami Dade falls to Meridian despite Maikol Perez’s big day at the plate

 Maikol Perez drove in four in today's matchup but the Sharks fell 13-6 against Meridian Community College 13-6. The Sharks fall to 3-3 with today's loss.

 

The Eagles were the first to get on the board today thanks to an error by the Sharks which allowed one run to score.

 

Miami Dade took the lead in the top of the second thanks to a 2 RBI single by David Zamora, giving the Sharks the upper hand.

 

Meridian Community College flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring five runs on three hits to take a 6-2 lead.

 

The Eagles would continue to pounce as they scored five runs on four hits just 2 innings later to make the score 11-6.

 

Keanu Rodriguez would take the loss for the Sharks in tonight's matchup. The reliever only got one out while giving up 2 runs. Alex Rosario started on the hill for Miami Dade. The right handed surrendered five hits and six runs in this one.

 

The Sharks look to get back in the win column when they take on Pearl River Community College tomorrow afternoon.
