MDC Baseball Sweeps Broward College to win  series

The Miami Dade College baseball team defeated Broward College Saturday afternoon to pick up the series win against the Seahawks. Gabriel Figueroa was the winning pitcher for Miami Dade college Sharks. He lasted six innings, allowing one hit and two runs while striking out five and walking one. Jesus ValoyOrlando Ribalta, and Blake Baker all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory of Game one.

Miami Dade college Sharks Varsity got things started in the first inning. Micheal Alicea hit a solo homer. Henry Ogando led things off on the pitcher's mound for Miami Dade college Sharks. He surrendered one run on four hits over six innings, striking out three and walking one. Miami Dade college Sharks tallied three runs in the ninth inning. Miami Dade college Sharks scored its runs on an RBI double by Sujel Arias-Auzon in the second game.

Miami Dade college Sharks opened up scoring in the second inning. Raphy Almanzardrove in one when he singled. Nico Martinez would not be denied at the plate on Saturday, picking up four hits and leading Miami Dade college Sharks to a 5-2 win over Broward College. Martinez singled in the second, doubled in the third, homered in the fifth, and singled in the seventh. Blake Baker pitched Miami Dade college Sharks to victory. He lasted six innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out eight. Joseph Sanchez and Orlando Ribalta entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Ribalta recorded the last two outs to earn the save for Miami Dade college Sharks.
