MIAMI, June. 22, 2016- This afternnon MDC was informed that former MDC Shark, and recent 2016 Boston Red Sox Draftee; Kevin Santiago received NJCAA Baseball 1 All-American Second Team Honors. 

Espinal, a freshman forgoed his sophomore year to sign with the Red Sox, he was drafted in the tenth round with the 298th-pick. While at MDC, Espinal was named the 2016 Southern Conference Player of the Year, and received several other accolades such as First Team All-State and All-Region, and First Team All-Southern Conference.
