Freshman right handed pitcher Boris Villa takes care of his responsibilities on the field, and also in class. Villa who has a 4.0 GPA was recently nominated by the National Society of Collegiate Scholars for membership into the society. The Business Administration major finished his freshman season with eight game appearances, and a 2-0 win-loss record on the mound. The Barranquilla, Colombia native arrived in Florida last August, and has made the transition easily. He plans to use this opportunity at Miami Dade College to continue his education, help his family, and pursue his dream of playing in the MLB.
